Wild Type Axolotl
Wild type axolotls are simply the most common coloration of axolotls. Despite the name, all wild type axolotls sold by Axolotl Galaxy are captive bred.
The bodies of wild type axolotls can range from various shades of brown, green, and yellow. These colors typically appear as a mix, giving the appearance of mud, algea-covered rocks, or other similar camouflage. In the wild, these colors help axolotls stay hidden from predators.
The eyes of wild type axolotls typically appear black with shiny eye rings.
The gills of wild type axolotls appear in various colors ranging from black to brown to grey to deep magenta.
The larger wild type axolotls currently avaliable are from clutch J2. They are generally darker in color. They are eating one european nightcrawler daily.
The smaller wild type axolotls currently available are from clutch J3. They are generally lighter/greener in color. They are eating red wiggler worms.
