Melanoid Albino Axolotl - Adult
While melanoid albinos all generally look the same, they do have subtle color variations. The typical range of color for the bodies of melanoid albinos is cream, light pink, and pale yellow. While albinos are generally lacking in pigment, some melanoid albinos will have small patches of yellow present on their bodies.
The typical color range of their eyes is pink, transparent, or red. This often results in the illusion of the axolotl not posessing eyes (though I can assure you, the axolotl does indeed have eyes).
The typical color range for the gills of melanoid albinos is light pink to deep red. Melanoid Albinos have much darker gills than typical albinos.
Super GFP Melanoid Albinos will glow bright green when exposed to blue aquarium lights. Light GFP Melanoid Albinos will also glow green, but not as brightly as the Super GFPs. When not exposed to unique lighting conditions, GFP Melanoid Albinos look the same as non-GFP Melanoid Albinos.
The first image is of a Super GFP. The last image is of a Light GFP. The rest are of a non-GFP.
All melanoid albino axolotls currently available from Axolotl Galaxy are from clutch J1. These are captive bred animals. They are all eating 1-2 european nightcrawlers daily. They are all approximately 8-9 inches in length.
